Juul 311 is the latest model in the Juul design company’s catalogue of modern quality sofas. Juul’s concept is to create good, solid and affordable sofas. And the enormous success is a good indication that the Danish company has the right philosophy.
Producing a high-quality sofa is an art. To achieve this without compromising the design, material, and comfort - while keeping the price down - seems almost impossible. Juul 311 is nevertheless a brilliant example of what can be done by making an effort. The harmony between the slim 18mm steel legs, deep seat and vivid upholstery make it difficult to take one’s eyes off of this sofa. And the contrast between the tight lines and the flap edge of the cushions provide the sofa with a bohemian look that makes it easy for it to be placed in virtually any home.
Just because the sofa looks like a million, it doesn’t have to cost a million. This is our mantra throughout all phases of work at Juul. It is implemented in everything from draft, design, and development to production, assembly, and distribution. Our aim is to create as much sofa as we can for the best value for money. The 311 is living proof of this.
Free choice of any cushion
The core of Juul’s sofa concept is democratization. The idea is that the customer should be able to put the right combination of modules, textiles, and colours together. The 311’s seat, back, and arm cushions are made using polydown cushions (20% polyurethane foam and 80% down). This means that the feeling is right, the sofa is functional and the price is kept down. The sofa seen here is upholstered in leather but can also be upholstered in textile. The cover can be chemically cleaned if it happens to have become stained with chocolate or greasy fingers, regardless of which type of surface is chosen. The 311 has been made to cope with everyday use in the Danish home in every way.
